Fire support & air strikes

Land, sea and air firepower you call from the map or the street. The developer has described what each aircraft is for, so this page can be specific.

Wiki · Fire support Verified Applies to Pre-release (store page & dev posts, Oct 2026)
Rule of thumb

Fire support is called from the operations map or the battlefield, but ship magazines are finite and heavy weapons bring buildings down. Official

Artillery and rockets

  • Destroyer guns and Tomahawk cruise missiles. Official
  • Ships take naval commands from the operations map. Dev
  • Magazines are finite. In the world campaign you resupply at friendly ports and must bring the carrier group "within range". Official

Air support, aircraft by aircraft

From the developer's notes on "Air Support: Gunships, Missiles & Mass Bombing" (Oct 28, 2026): "Each aircraft has a different job." Dev

How a strike works in the footage: "Choose what to send, designate the target, and watch the attack unfold on the battlefield." Dev

Carrier operations

  • Carrier jets are prepared and re-armed between sorties; loadouts shown include Mk 77 fire bombs. Dev
  • A full sortie is simulated: pilot boarding, catapult launch, missile, bombing and gun runs, then landing, parking and pilots climbing out. Dev
  • Strikes cause building destruction. Dev

Trade-offs to expect

What the official text implies, without guessing numbers:

  • Ammo is a resource. Finite magazines mean every Tomahawk spent in LA is one fewer later. Official
  • Collateral damage is real. Destroyed buildings carry back to the map and can block your own positions. Official
  • Warnings buy time. You always get a warning before an attack, which is your window to call fire support from the map. Official
