Steam Playtest
The first thing players will be able to touch is a Steam Playtest. In the October 23, 2026 FAQ the developer wrote that they are preparing one and will share "the dates and details on how to join on Steam and Discord when it is ready." Dev The earlier October 21 post said the same thing: when a playtest is ready, the Steam news feed hears about it first. Dev
Steam Playtests are usually opt-in from a button on the game's store page. Until that button appears, there is no list to join and no key to request.
Public demo
A public demo is planned after the playtest. The exact schedule has not been decided. Dev Several Steam threads ask for one ("Demo", "SO EXCITED… at least add a demo"); the developer's FAQ is the answer to all of them.
Early Access or full release?
Not decided. Asked directly, the developer answered: "I have not decided yet. I will share an update here once that decision is made." Dev
Price
No price has been announced. Dev Key-reseller sites already have Ebbtide listing pages; treat any price or "release date" shown by a third-party store as a placeholder, not news.
Can you download Ebbtide?
Not yet, anywhere. Searches for "Ebbtide download" or "Ebbtide zombie game download" will turn up nothing legitimate until the playtest or demo opens on Steam. Do not run installers from unofficial sites claiming to have the game.
